You know the phrase ‘when life gives you lemons, make lemonade’?
“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade” is a proverbial phrase used to encourage optimism and a positive can-do attitude in the face of adversity or misfortune. Lemons suggest sourness or difficulty in life, while lemonade is a sweet drink.
I really like that saying. And I think it’s a good attitude for facing climate change. Climate change is undoubtedly horrifying – but if we do it right, addressing it will actually make the world much more fair, more healthy and more happy.
There’s an epic opportunity nestled within the crisis. We need to have a positive can-do attitude in the face of adversity to grasp that opportunity.
